Our Story

For over 40 years we’ve had the joy of leading groups and ministries, and for over 27 of those years we were blessed to serve in full-time pastoral ministry in the Sarasota, Florida area. God has been faithful and we are blessed to share HIs love wherever we go! In 2021, we felt God leading us to step aside as Lead Pastors and prepare for a new season of ministry. Since then, we launched Salt & Light, a ministry based in Sarasota, Florida but with a reach that extends globally. In Matthew 5:13-16, Jesus taught that we should all be like salt and light, making a difference in this world for the Kingdom of God. He modeled love and truth perfectly—challenging religious systems while embracing and uplifting those often overlooked. He was called a friend of sinners for a reason, and we strive to carry that same heart in all we do.

OUR MISSION:

Our mission is to love God and people well and to see them transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. We do this primarily through global missions, discipleship and our Ministerial Network. With the Scriptures as our standard and the Holy Spirit as our guide, we work to equip believers and develop leaders as we work together to make a difference in this world in both practical and spiritual ways.

Global Missions

Whether we are doing acts of kindness, street ministry, disaster relief, creative arts, teaching or training, we do it all locally and around the world! And we love serving globally with other believers so that together we can love God and people well in both practical and spiritual ways. It’s amazing to reach people from all backgrounds, and to see His love transform their lives! 2. Discipleship

Jesus called us all to “make disciples.” The local church is a great way to grow in our faith and in community with others. We work in tandem with local churches for discipleship and we do this through speaking engagements like church meetings, camps, retreats, and conferences and also by providing nearly 200 free teaching and training videos and free Bible college level course materials here on our website. We also do a lot of relational discipleship training through our live broadcasts and our Ministerial Network.

3. Ministerial Network

We love connecting with people who are on mission for God! Our online Zoom Network Gatherings give leaders around the world the ability to collaborate, encourage one another, grow in their faith, and train for ministry. Whether you are a young person passionate about mission work, a seasoned pastor or worship leader, or a missionary serving far from home, we want to connect with you! OUR AMAZING SUMMER TRIPS TO ASIA & OHIO

We had an amazing trip to South Asia! We were there June 15 - July 16th. We were able to minister to hundreds of people and make many new friends. What an honor to get to know so many amazing pastors and ministry leaders who wire tirelessly to share the Gospel throughout their country, even in the midst of persecution. Rhoda also had a great mission trip to Ohio just after our Asia trip. I was unable to go since I had a bad fall in Asia just before we left and I had to keep my feet off the ground for several weeks. Rhoda participated in the Juggalo Gathering Outreach that we’ve done for several years. She and the team there was able to minister one on one to hundreds of people during that week and they saw such an impact on many of their lives! We are grateful for the opportunities the Lord gives to us and we always love seeing God transform people, one life at a time!
